GUWAHATI, April 7 - A two-day volleyball tournament got under way at Kenduguri Primary School premises in Barpeta district today.
Barpeta DC Thaneswar Malakar inaugurated the day/night championship in an well attended function where SP Violet Baruah and additional DC Pulak Patgiri among others were present.
The championship has been organised by the Aswini Kumar Sarma Memorial Trust in memory of Aswini Sarma. Six leading teams of the State, including NF Railway, ASEB, Assam Police are taking part in the meet, stated a release issued here.
