AIZAWL, July 17 - �Vision 2030� for Aizawl City was discussed at a meeting here chaired by Mizoram Chief Secretary Lalmalsawma. UD&PA Secretary Dr C Vanlalramsanga, Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC)Mayor PC Lalhmingthanga, AMC Dy Mayor Lalringliana, AMC Commissioner Dr H Lalthlangliana and other officials took part in the meeting.
The �Master Plan for Aizawl: Vision 2030� drafted by AMC and SIPMIU includes traffic & transportation, tunnel (Rangvamual-World Bank Road), parking lot & multi-storied parking, solid waste management, water supply and community toilets, among others.
It was suggested under the master plan that reparation of streetlights would be done and additional 15,000 streetlights would to be installed. It is also proposed to use LED bulbs for power saving.
Moreover, �Building Audit� of Aizawl city would be started from October next.
