DOOMDOOMA, Aug 16 - At the call of the Asom Apradeshikrita Shikshanusthan Suraksha Mancha (AASSM), the teachers of the non-provincialised educational institutions in the State celebrated the 73rd Independence Day by tying gamuchas around their stomachs. They also protested against the government�s negligence towards the public institution on the occasion.
On Independence Day, the teachers of such schools invited the local people, and after hoisting the Tricolor, they informed the public about the injustice done to them by the State Government.
In a press release, AASSM president Pradip Kumar Moran, working president Atul Bora and joint secretary Charitra Gogoi and Moinul Haque stated that in future too they would organise public meetings in every district and inform the public about the injustice done to them by the government.
