HAFLONG, July 3 � The Dima Hasao Forest Department is celebrating the 65th Vanamohotsav Week at various places of the district from July 1 to 7.
The ceremonial opening of the 65th Vanamohotsav Week was held at Thaijuwari on July 1, which was attended by Mahendra Kemprai, Executive Member of NC Hills Autonomous Council, as the chief guest. B Brahma, IFS, Addl PCCF, BS Bey, AFS, DFO, SA Division, H Bathari, DFO and gaonburahs of several villages among others also attended the function.
On July 2, the Dima Hasao Forest Department organised a ceremonial plantation of saplings by the dignitaries and a public meeting at the premises of Padma Devi Thaosen College at Langting. This was followed by a well attended public meeting with Sutopa Hojai in the chair.
