GUWAHATI, Oct 28 - A team led by the Chancellor of the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), M Hoque, met the Governor of Meghalaya, Satya Pal Malik, at the Raj Bhavan in Shillong on Tuesday, a press release received here stated.
The team presented mementos, bouquets and other gifts to Malik, who is going to be the Visitor to the USTM. Hoque apprised the Governor of the progress and performance of the university.
The Meghalaya Governor appreciated the achievements in the field of education by �such a young self-financed private university in the North Eastern region.�
The Governor also gave his consent to attend the 6th Convocation of the USTM, likely to be conducted in December this year, the release added.
