CHICAGO, March 4 (IANS): The toll from storms and tornadoes that raked across a huge swath of the US midwest and south has risen to 38.
The powerful storm system that spawned at least 90 tornadoes Friday, killed 19 people in Kentucky, 14 in neighbouring Indiana, three in Ohio and one in Alabama. Georgia also reported a storm-related death, Xinhua reported.
Emergency crews were continuing their search for survivors Saturday.
The storms left a trail of destruction, causing millions of dollars in damage.
