GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - Upper Assam Zone were sitting pretty after having secured their first innings lead against Central Assam Zone in their two-day match of the Assam Premier League at the Judges Field here today.
Upper Assam were 143 for the loss of one wicket when the stumps were drawn in reply to Central Assam�s first innings total of 133.
In another match at the DN Singha Stadium in Goalpara, Lower Assam batsmen were struggling at 57 runs for the loss of eight wickets in reply to Southern Assam�s 139.
At the NFRSA Stadium in Maligaon, Head Quarter Zone were 53 for the loss of one wicket at the end of the day�s play. Earlier, Northern Assam put up a total of 260 in their first innings.
