KOKRAJHAR, May 24 � The prestigious Upendra Nath Brahma Soldier of Humanity Award, 2010 will be conferred on Dr Indira Goswami (Mamoni Raisom Goswami) as per the penal of the UNB Trust, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, chairman of UNB Trust, said on Sunday.
Brahma also informed that Dr Goswami has been selected by a jury under the chairmanship of BK Brahma, Tagore Literary Award winner, on the basis of nominations received from various corners.
Apart from the literary contributions Dr Goswami has been selected for the award for ever remarkable initiative in facilitating the peace process in Assam and her efforts for a logical solution to the ULFA problem.
The ceremonial presentation of the award will take place on July 4 at Tezpur Central University auditorium which will be graced by RS Mooshahary, Governor of Meghalaya as the chief guest among a galaxy of guests and dignitaries from across the country.
