According to the Bhagavad Gita, an undisciplined mind acts as our enemy, whereas a trained mind acts as our friend. So, we need to have a clear idea of how our mind works. We can bring into our life better health, happiness, self-control, power, wealth, etc., by using the power of our mind. Life always follows a basic principle – the principle of belief. There are two levels of the mind – the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. A lot of power lays dormant in our subconscious mind, so we should learn how to use it for our own development. No medicine has been discovered to enhance or instill mind power. But, there are some exercises and tips for mind power. Let’s learn how:

Choose well

According to William James, the Father of American Psychology: “The power to move the world is in your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is one with infinite intelligence and wisdom.” You have the right to choose – choose life, love, happiness, and health. Commit to focussing closely on learning and improving your thinking.

Read yourself

Reading yourself is the main component of mind power. Confident people understand themselves. They are well aware of their skills and capabilities. The first step of increasing confidence is to be able to read oneself. To read oneself means to learn about one’s inner-self – be it your strengths or weaknesses. This is called intra-personal communication. If we are not aware of our own inner self, then we will not be able to control ourselves. Self-control is the key to strong mind power.

Create your rules

Life is tough in the true sense of the term, and reality is harsh. So, one must tread carefully to avoid stumbling. We must frame our own rules and regulations to keep our personal life on track, as well as to maintain the necessary pace. A positive mindset will emerge from a disciplined life. Create a space with your vision.

Gain news skills

By learning new skills, you keep your brain engaged, which, in turn, can build new neural connections and improve your cognitive functions. Trying new activities or hobbies can also help keep your brain tuned up. Always stay tuned and prepared to gain new skills for your personal development.

Be a mental engineer and use your mind power. Your age and mind is an asset, so enjoy it. Keep in mind: “Get what you like, else be happy with whatever you have”.
