TEZPUR, Jan 24: The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) is going to celebrate its 53rd annual conference at Mungkhlong Fwthar (Martyrs’ Field) at Borpukhuri, about 30 km away from Gohpur in undivided Sonitpur district, with a three-day programme from January 29.
A reception committee has been executed with Sunilal Basumatary, Bibeka Brahma and Nijwm Basumatary as president, working president and convenor respectively along with 22 sub-committees.
The main gate will be inaugurated by Techi Hitler, Director, Land Management, Arunachal Pradesh, on the January 29 morning.
The day’s programme will include inauguration of Mwlao Basumatary memorial main pandal, exhibition cum sale, registration of delegates and observers, Jwhwlao Swmbla Basumatary memorial volleyball meet, Gaide Helena kabbadi competition, central working committee meet, cultural show, delegates session, cultural competition, etc.
For the next day, programmes like debate and literary competition, seminar, felicitation of the successful Bodo APSC candidates, etc, have been lined up.
