DERGAON, Nov 14 - Sensation prevails among the residents of greater Kamargaon area following the falling down of a stone like unidentified material on the river bank at Mahuramukh on Friday.
According to information, a stone-like object fell down on the bank of Gelabeel river under Kamargaon PS in Golaghat district at around 12:30 pm on Friday. The residents said that a big sound was heard and after that the material was found. Later, the police took possession of the material and took it to the police station. When contacted, the OC Kamargaon PS, Dhrubajyoti Bora told this correspondent that the material weighs around 13 kg and is now under his possession. Though the material is yet to be identified, but the OC revealed that it may be the drop-out of some aircraft. On the other hand, some others feel that it may be a meteoroid that fell from space.
