GUWAHATI, July 18 � The residents of Kedar Road, Fancy Bazar � a perennially water-logged area � have appreciated the intervention of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation in facilitating an underground drainage.
Almost 70 per cent work of the drainage has been completed, and the people have also appreciated the role of the local ward councillor, Sunita Bhilwaria.
�GMC Commissioner S Viswanathan visited Kedar Road a few days back following complaints from the residents, and after an on-the-spot assessment, construction of the drainage started,� a resident said.
The drainage is being constructed from PS Dhanuka Balika Vidyalaya up to MG Road.
