Udit wins Road to Wimbledon doubles title

GUWAHATI, Aug 19 - Udit Gogoi of Assam representing India won the doubles title of the Road to Wimbledon Tennis Tournament which was held at Wimbledon Grass Courts in London. Udit partnering with Chirag Duhan of India defeated Billy Blaydes and Jonah Gethin of UK 6-3, 0-6, 10-5 in a gruelling three setter. The tournament was held from August 13 to 18. However, in the singles event, Udit lost in the semifinals to Roan Jones of UK 6-4, 1-6, 10-12 after a gallant fight.

Udit Gogoi�s performance was appreciated by the officials of All England Club, London. The All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) congratulated Udit for his fine performance, stated an AATA press release.
