Two more arrested in Tuensang

DIMAPUR, Feb 17 � Two more persons have been arrested by a joint team of police, IRB and Assam Rifles. The two are accused of instigating vandalism in the Tuensang DC�s office and resorting to violent acts causing panic and fear among the people in Tuensang town on February 14.

Police sources said the two, identified as Changlemba and Subong, were arrested from their residences at around 11 am yesterday. With their arrests, the total number of people arrested in this connection has gone up to 15. A case has been registered with the Tuensang Police Station and the accused were booked under appropriate Sections of the law.

Police sources said that a thorough investigation has been initiated and move to arrest more persons connected to the case is under way.

Sources added that security forces are strictly enforcing the prohibitory orders clamped by the district administration under Section 144 CrPC to check movement of anti-social elements or armed miscreants.
