Two killed in Mizoram car accident

Aizawl, April 1: Two people were killed when the car they were travelling in ran off the road and fell into a gorge near Kawlkulh village between Aizawl-Champhai around 1:30am Thursday, police said.

The car that turned upside down crushed two of the three occupants, H Lalramhluna, 28, an advocate, and Zirsangliana Paite, an associate professor in Govt Champhai College, to death.

The survivor, Lalthanfela, 28, crawled onto the road and got help from other motorists. The survivor was asleep when the accident happened and is unable to tell how did it happen, police said.

The car was travelling from Champhai and bound for Aizawl.
