Two from Golaghat district secure ranks

DERGAON, May 15 - Two students from the same school� Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya � secured ranks in the high school leaving certificate examination, the results of which were declared today.

Upasha Mudoi (589) and Achyut Kr Chetia secured the 5th and 10th rank respectively.

Upasha, daughter of Atul Mudoi and Parul Bora Mudoi of Lakhi Nagar in Golaghat Jonaki Nagar secured letter marks in all the subjects. She dreams of becoming a good teacher to serve the society.

Achyut, son of Kosheswar Chetia and Padumi Chetia of village Da-gaon in Golaghat also secured letter marks in all the subjects.

Achyut aims to become a doctor to serve the rural masses with humanity.

Similarly, two students of Dergaon Sankardev Shishu Niketan namely Rupankar Dutta (Genaral Mathematics and Advanced Mathematics) and Akangkhya Haziraka (Advanced Mathematics) secured the highest marks in the subject.

The other schools of Dergaon also showed good performance.

In Dergaon Girls� HS School, 83 passed out of 115 (72.17 %) while four students secured distinction, eight star marks with 34 first divisions, 29 second and 20 third divisions.

In Dergaon Indranee Devi HS School, 31 passed out of 40 (77.50 %) where two students secured distinction, six star marks with 13 first divisions, 14 second and four third divisions.

In Dergaon HS School, 44 passed out of 62 (70.96 %) where one student secured star marks with seven first division, 11 second and 26 third divisions.

The overall pass percentage of Golaghat district is 58.60 where 6995 candidates passed among the 11937 appeared. There were 1639 first divisions, 2373 secured second and 2983 secured third division.
