Two from Barpeta district share 6th position

BARPETA May 15 - Barpeta district fared marginally better than the State average in the HSLC and AHM Examinations, 2019, the results of which were declared today. Out of 19597 HSLC candidates, 13,002 crossed the barrier with an average of 66.35% as against State average of 60.23%.

Out of the successful candidates, 3394 examinees occupied 1st division, 4641 second division and 4967 third division.

Rajashree Pathak and Avipsa Das, both appearing in the examination from St Mary�s English Medium High School, jointly bagged the 6th position scoring 588 marks. Both of them secured letter marks in Assamese, English, General Mathematics, General Science, Social Science and Advance Mathematics.

The students and teachers of the school were elated over the performance of Rajashree and Avipsa who took out a victory procession at noon in the vicinity of the school. Several organisations have congratulated the meritorious girl duo on their splendid performances.

In High Madrassa examination also the district surpassed the State level with 62.48% against the State average of 58.18. Out of 1554 examinees, 971 came out successful with 117 first, 352 second and 502 third divisions.
