Silchar, Feb 3: At least 542 gelatine sticks and 600 detonators were recovered from two persons along the Assam Meghalaya border in Katigorah constituency on Wednesday.
Police along with 37 Assam Rifles nabbed two youths who were entering the Assam border from Meghalaya in a car bearing number ML05 N 5372 at Malidahar under Gumrah police station.
A senior police officer informed that the two persons have been identified as Bison Paslein and Welcome Lyndoh. Along with the explosives, cash of Rs 11,500 were also seized from the duo. Police informed that investigation in the matter is in progress.
