TURA, July 1 � A twin murder in Boldamgre, Lalmati area of Hallidayganj in the Garo Hills has shocked the people. A primary school teacher and her servant were found killed and their belongings looted from their house in the border of Assam and Meghalaya.
The murders were committed in a gruesome manner. The bodies of the victims were discovered two days later. The neighbours were worried when they could not trace the victims for two days. The neighbours then went to the house of the victim and found her house bolted from inside. Getting foul stench from inside the house, they broke down the door to find the two murdered and house in a mess. Valuable items were also found missing.
The murdered woman has been identified as Rejia T Sangma, 57, headmistress of Rongsaigre Govt LP School in Phulbari. The boy, who was also murdered, assisted the elderly teacher in her daily chores and was about 17 to 19 years old. The bodies have been sent for post mortem.
