HYDERABAD, Dec 25 - Against the backdrop of a political crisis in his State due to a tussle between factions of the ruling Congress, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki met President Pranab Mukherjee here on Wednesday.
�I called on him. I apprised him of the situation. The matter is now sub-judice,� Tuki said.
Opposition BJP and rebel Congress MLAs got together on December 17 to �vote out� Tuki and to �elect� a rebel Congress MLA in his place but the Gauhati High Court intervened to keep in abeyance decisions taken at the �rebel session.�
Congress has accused the BJP of hatching a conspiracy to topple the Tuki Government, but the saffron party has denied the charges.
The President is here for his customary southern sojourn which concludes on December 31. � PTI
