GUWAHATI, April 22 - The new sensation of Assam table tennis, Trisha Gogoi is in the Indian team for the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship which is going on in Maldives.

Trisha, a class nine student of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silpukhuri hare and a scholarship holder of Oil India Limited, has won a bronze medal as a member of the Indian team in the World School Table Tennis Championship held recently in Malta. In the bronze medal match India defeated Slovakia 5-2. Former national champion and Arjuna Award winner Monalisa Baruah, who is deputy general manager of OIL was the coach of the Indian team in Malta, stated a release issued by Assam Table Tennis Association secretary Tridib Duvarah.
