JORHAT, Aug 2 - Paying tributes to former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at Jorhat Science Centre and Planetarium on Friday, the president of Assam Science Writers� Association, Dr Aditi Bezboruah, general secretary Dhirendra Kumar Gogoi, members of Jorhat District Science Society and Aryabhatta Science Centre recounted the contributions of the great scientist to the nation.
Narrating Dr Kalam�s life and philosophy the members of the Science Writers� Association and the Science Society said he will be remaining in the mind and heart of the people of the nation.
The programme was attended by several scientists of Jorhat including Dr Ramesh Chandra Barua, Dr Jiban Chandra Sarma Kotoki, Dr Promod Chandra Neog, curator of the Science Centre and Planetarium Dr Pranab Jyoti Chetia, retired educationist and engineer Bhaba Chetia, Dr Bipin Khongiya, Binapani Adhyapak, Prasanta Barua, Pratap Sarma and many others.
