GUWAHATI, Jan 5 - Rich tributes were paid to noted dramatist, novelist and humorist Roma Bezbaruah today on the occasion of his first death anniversary. Presiding over the meeting held at Saurab Nagar, Beltola, senior journalist Dhiren Chakravartty referred to Bezbaruah�s academic excellence and his rich contributions to Assamese drama, novel and humorous writings.
Bezbaruah, who wrote several radio dramas for the All India Radio, earned national recognition as a novelist and dramatist.
Prasanna Barthakur, while explaining the purpose of the meeting, described Bezbaruah as a dependable guide for the people of Beltola and a popular humorist and dramatist.
