GUWAHATI, Nov 4 � The Bhupen Hazarika Mrityu Barsiki Udjapan Somiti, Khetri is organising a workshop on the songs of the maestro at the Khetri Tiniali near here as a tribute to commemorate the third death anniversary of the legend.
Being held under music instructors Raju Ansari and Papori Thakuria, about 100 students are attending the workshop which has created quite an enthusiasm among the fans of Dr Hazarika�s songs.
It will be followed by a cultural evening where singer Surjya Das will be felicitated. All the singers attending the workshop will sing in a chorus Bhupen Hazarika �millennium� song Manuhe manuhar babe...
Artistes Badal Das, Alekhya Chakravorty along with promising local artistes are performing in the workshop, informs a statement issued by Samiti president Dilip Boisnav and joint secretaries Dhanjit Kakoty and Saurav Das.
