UDALGURI, Feb 15 - The Udalguri district committee of the All Assam Gorkha Students� Union (AAGSU) organised a shraddhanjali programme at the Rajhuwa Durga Puja Maidan here this evening to pay tribute to the CRPF jawans who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Kashmir.
The members of the student body and the general public lit earthen lamps and candles at the programme venue.
The programme was attended by Longnit Terang, Udalguri SP, Narayan Patangia, officer-in-charge of Udalguri PS, Major Bishal Thapa of Indian Army, Somraj Sonari and Sanjiv Khatiworah, president and general secretary respectively of the Udalguri district committee of AAGSU, representatives of the Bengali Yuva Chatra Parishad and the general public. A two-minute silence was observed by the members present at the venue.
