Tribune scribe for Trust Conference in London

GUWAHATI, Nov 12 - The Lakhimpur district correspondent of The Assam Tribune, Farhana Ahmed has left for London, UK to attend Trust Conference-2018 on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery organised by Thomson-Reuters Foundation.

The two-day conference is to be held at Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London on November 14-15. Leading activist against human trafficking, modern slavery and crimes against women and children like Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, President of International Red Cross Francesco Rocca, acid attack victim and activist Natalia Poncho de Leon of Colombia and many others are participating in that prestigious conference. Farhana Ahmed, who is also an activist of anti-human trafficking campaign will present a report on the trafficking of girl children from Assam�s tea garden areas to the rest of India.
