GUWAHATI, July 4 - The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is holding an agricultural training programme for science teachers in two phases from July 3 to 6 and July 8 to 10 at Jorhat Agricultural University, stated a press release.
Dr Arpan Saikia, registrar, AAU inaugurated the programme on Wednesday in the presence of Dr Jayanta Deka, dean, AAU, retired professor Dr Girin Hazarika, Dr PK Pathak, director of extension education, Kamal Gogoi, secretary, AHSEC and a number of other dignitaries.
Resource persons Dr RK Bhattacharya, Dr AK Pathak, Dr KN Das, Dr KK Sharma, Dr SK Dutta, Dr M Saikia, Dr Dhrubajyoti Hazarika, Dr LC Bora, Dr C Hazarika, Dr K Pathak and Dr DK Sarmah will train the first batch of 25 participants on different aspects of agriculture, added the release.
