Training on plasma science

GUWAHATI, June 6 - Regional Science Centre (RSC), Guwahati is going to organise a two-day long awareness-cum-training programme on 'Plasma Science & Technology and Energy from Nuclear Fusion' in association with the Institute of Plasma Research (IPR), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and the National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC) on June 7-8 at its Khanapara campus here.

The programme is basically for physics teachers of higher secondary schools and junior colleges. Over 55 participants from the eastern and north-eastern states will participate in it.

The goal of this training is to expose and train the teachers who, in turn, are expected to train around 5,000 higher secondary and undergraduate students in the basic areas of plasma, its applications and energy from fusion.
