Training on conduct of exams, evaluation under way

GUWAHATI, Jan 13 - The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) organized the inauguration ceremony of a training programme on �Conduct of examination and evaluation� for the Centre in-charge and the Supervising Officers of the Higher Secondary final examination 2019 on the Assam Down Town University (ADTU) premises here on Friday.

The training programme, organised by AHSEC in association with ADTU, aims at smooth conduct of the upcoming final examinations. It will be conducted at several locations across Assam till February 4.

More than 700 teachers from across the State will participate.

In his welcome speech during the inauguration ceremony, Prof (Dr) Pratap Sharma, Chairperson, Faculty of Basic Sciences, ADTU, expressed his gratitude to AHSEC for choosing ADTU as the academic and resource partner in the mission.

Prof (Dr) Someswar Gogoi, Chief Controller of Examination, ADTU, spoke about his experience on the critical aspects of conducting an examination.

Controller of Examinations of AHSEC Pankaj Borthakur presented a brief on the new measures adopted by the Council for better conduct of the examination.

The inauguration ceremony was followed by a daylong training programme in which more than 50 centre heads and supervising officers from Kamrup Metro and Kamrup districts participated.

The team of resource persons included Kamal Jyoti Gogoi, Secretary of AHSEC, Jyoti Kalita, Deputy Secretary of AHSEC and academician Syed Anisur Rehman.

There was also a special session on �Zen mind, stress management and rooster management� which was conducted by New Delhi-based speaker Ram Prakash Sejwal.
