GUWAHATI, Dec 23 - Trailokya Nanda of Jorhat won the title in the 39th All Assam Inter District Chess Championship (open) held at Diphu from December 16 to 22.

The championship was organised by the Karbi Anglong Chess Association under the aegis of All Assam Chess Association. Trailokya bagged 8 points from nine rounds and received a cash award of Rs 12000. S Rahul Singh of Cachar got second position scoring 7.5 points.

Top 15 position holders are: Trailokya Nanda, S Rahul Singh, Santanu Borpatra Gohain, Madhab Sarma, Ranjit Chutiya, Nandan Buragohain, Cheniram Pegu. Monoj Das, Rintu Brahma, Th Bipin Singha, Chingkhei Singh, Subroto Nandi Roy, Pranab Kumar Nath, Homen Chandra Rabha, Moni Mohan Singh.
