Traffic regulation on Bijaya Dashami day

GUWAHATI, Oct 5 � The City Traffic Police will effect regulation on movement of vehicular traffic on the occasion of immersion of Durga idol on October 6.

As per regulation, all idol carrying vehicles coming from Ulubari side via B Barooah Road will go via TC School Point rotary and then take left turn on MC Road and proceed to MG Road at Chief Justice Point via FC Road.

Idol carrying vehicles from Silpukhuri side will be regulated at Guwahati Club and diverted to MC Road and MG Road via Barowari and Chief Justice Point. All other vehicles, including city buses coming from Chandmari side to Jalukbari side, will not be allowed to enter MC Road and instead shall proceed on GNB Road via TC School Point and RBI Point to Panbazar overbridge North point. The vehicles shall take left turn and proceed to AT Road for respective destinations.

No vehicles except the idol carrying vehicles will be allowed to take right turn at District Library point from GNB road to KLB road.

Moreover, all vehicles coming from Jalukbari, Bharalumukh side towards Chandmari, Noonmati and Dispur shall be regulated at Apollo Point on MG Road and diverted via TRP Road, then to HB Road via FA Road crossing. These vehicles will proceed to KLB Road and take left turn and right turn via FC Road towards Tayebullah Road and GNB Road.

The idol carrying vehicles of Paltanbazar, Ulubari, Chatribari, Bhangagarh and other areas must move via Ulubari, TC point rotary, MC road and MG Road only.

The idol carrying vehicles of Bharalumukh and Fatasil area are to move via AT Road towards Pandu.

Similarly, no vehicles will be allowed to move from Planetarium Point to Bharalumukh side on MG Road. Idol carrying vehicles from Birubari side shall move via BK Kakati Road at Sarabbbhati Point and shall move via B Barooah Road. The TRP Road and HB Road shall be one-way from MG Road only. Idol carrying vehicles from Kamarpara, Chatribari side shall proceed via AT Road, TRP Road and up to MS Road crossing.
