Traffic regulation for Assembly session today

GUWAHATI, Oct 16 � The City Traffic Police has made arrangements for traffic regulation, diversion and restriction of vehicular movement for the special session of the Assam Legislative Assembly tomorrow, an official press release said.

Following are the diversions of vehicular traffic: Movement of all types of vehicular traffic on sixty feet road from Supermarket traffic point to Dispur Last Gate traffic point will remain closed from 7 am till the session of the day is over; vehicles coming from Basistha Chariali towards Dispur Last Gate will be diverted towards GS Road from Beltola Chariali and will run via Jawahar Nagar Road, Joyanagar Chariali and Sixmile Service Road; vehicles coming from Beltola Chariali side towards Ganeshguri will run via Dispur-Beltola Road and RP Road via backside of MLA Hostels; city bus/public bus stops between Ganeshguri Chariali to Supermarket on GS Road and on RP Road will be withdrawn temporarily during the Assembly session; vehicles bound for Beltola via Last Gate will run through GS Road, Supermarket, Sixmile point (via flyover service road) and Joyanagar road; Hatigaon and Kahilipara bound vehicles from Paltanbazar side will run through Service Road of Ganeshguri flyover, RP Road and vice-versa; City buses and other heavy vehicles coming from RG Baruah Road side and proceeding to Hatigaon and Kahilipara will run via Ganeshguri service road, GS Road, Sixmile point, Beltola Chariali and Last Gate point.

Restrictions on parking: Both sides of GS Road from Janata Bhawan to Supermarket, sixty feet road, RP Road and the road behind MLA Hostels will be �No parking� zone during the time of the Asembly session. All vehicles found parked in this area will be towed away without any further intimation.

Restrictions on slow-moving vehicles: All slow-moving vehicles will be restricted at Rukminigaon Tiniali, Dispur Last Gate, Jatia Faguna Rabha Tiniali, Hatigaon Lakhimi Tiniali, Nayanpur, Hengerabari Public Health, Down Town Road and Super Market, the release added.
