JORABAT, Nov 25 - Traffic flow on the national highway was affected for over 12 hours after an LPG-laden bullet tanker lost control and overturned at 13th Mile near Sonapur, last night around 11:30 pm. The ill-fated tanker was carrying Indane LPG from Noonmati Refinery to Arunachal Pradesh.

While the driver escaped with minor injury, the handyman was seriously injured, and both were first rushed to Sonapur District Civil Hospital and then shifted to GMCH this morning.

Leakage of gas through the safety valve of the tanker caused panic in the area. However, the remaining LPG was extracted by other Indane LPG tankers and transported to the LPG bottling plant at Mirza, Kamrup (R) district.
