GUWAHATI, May 26 � The Guwahati City traffic police have made special arrangements for diversion and parking of vehicles in connection with the swearing-in ceremony of the State Council of Ministers at Pragjyoti ITA Centre at Machkhowa here tomorrow.
Under the plan for diversion of vehicles, all city buses and commercial vehicles coming from Uzanbazar side will be diverted at Latasil point towards High Court east point in front of Latasil Police Station and will be diverted again to Tayabullah Road and thereafter the vehicles will proceed via Panbazar ROB north point and ROB south point through AT Road. All city buses and commercial vehicles coming from Chandmari side will be allowed to ply via GNB Road and will be diverted at Panbazar ROB north point and ROB south point towards AT Road.
The following are the arrangements for parking of vehicles � the vehicles of the Governor of Assam and the Chief Minister of Assam will be parked inside the venue perimeter. All the main cars of the MLAs, dignitaries and senior govt officials will be allowed to park in the Iddgah Maidan while all the pilot-escort vehicles will be allowed to park on FA Road. All the vehicles of the invitees will be allowed to park of TR Phookun Road and the emergency vehicles including fire tender, ambulance and media vehicles will be allowed to park on Kedar Road.
The stretch of AT Road from Athgaon flyover to Panbazar ROB south point shall remain a �no parking� zone. The restrictions will remain in force from 3 pm till end of the function tomorrow. This was stated in a press release.
