TEZPUR, March 14 - In support of the ongoing indefinite hunger strike in BTAD�s nerve centre Kokrajhar in demand of immediate creation of a separate Bodoland State and other issues, the Sonitpur district unit of ABSU, NDFB (P) and PJACBM jointly took out a torchlight rally yesterday evening at Dhekiajuli town. The torchlight rally participated by about 1000 protesters passed through the thoroughfares of the township.
Lamenting government�s lackadaisical attitude towards the Bodoland issue, the protesters said that the hunger strike has crossed five days but till date government has not given any importance to it. Tapan Boro, an ABSU worker said that until and unless the Bodoland is created Bodo people won�t rest.
