GUWAHATI, Oct 8 - Topcem Cement in association with Rudreswar Ajanta Club, North Guwahati will host the fifth edition of the Topcem Challenge Football Tournament at the North Guwahati Mini Stadium from October 10.
Anil Kapur, president, Sales and Marketing, Topcem Cement while elaborating about the championship in a press conference here today said, �We are privileged to be the title sponsor of the tournament and proud to take a leadership role in celebrating Rudreswar Ajanta Club's achievements or other socio-cultural activities. We think it is important that Topcem Cement continues to participate in such activities and encourage the young players to show their potential�. Topcem cement has taken a step forward towards its social responsibility to involve themselves in football activity and expects this tournament grows bigger in the years to come, added Kapur.
Altogether eight teams will vie for the title in the meet which will be a knock-out affair. The final is slated for November 8.
The opening match will be played between the NE Zone CRPF football team Guwahati and North Guwahati F C. The kick off will take place at 2pm. Other teams participating in the tournament are Bamundi F C, Gureswar GATSA, RAC, Narangi Sporting Club, Boko United Club and NGUFCC.
