DIPHU, July 24 � Five Karbi People�s Liberation Tiger (KPLT) militants, including its general secretary, were arrested during a joint operation launched by Dokmoka police and security forces here today.
According to police sources, the militants were apprehended at Kharping Kro village under Dokmoka PS around 4 am today.
The nabbed ultras were KPLT general secretary Ranam Lijang, Anglop Timung, Ramu Teron, Khor Sing Teron and Anjok Teron .
An AK-56 rifle, a magazine with 44 rounds of live ammunition, an SLR rifle, a magazine with 39 rounds of live ammunition, a 303 rifle, a magazine with eight rounds of ammunition, a Lathod gun, three Chinese grenades, a laptop, five mobile handsets, a solar panel and Rs 20,000 in cash were recovered from the nabbed ultras, the police said.
