GUWAHATI, March 15 - The CRPF organised a civic action programme today for construction of a toilet and a bathroom of No 2 Mathgharia Prathamik Vidyalay, Noonmati here, according to a press release.
The toilet and bathroom were inaugurated by Surjeet Kumar Atri, Commandant 128 Bn. In addition, sports and stationery items were also distributed to the students under the civic action programme.
In his brief speech Commandant Atri said such civic action programmes are very important as they create a good relationship between the general public and the Force. He assured the general public that such programmes would be organised by the CRPF in future also for welfare of the general public.
DCP Central, Ranjan Bhuyan; Upen Goswami, CRCC; ACP Noonmati, Poorvi Mazumdar; Arvind P Anand, second in command; Babu Saheb, A/C; Rajiv Kumar Saikia, SHO Noonmati; Kandarpa Sarma, Unnayan Samiti Pramukh; Arpana Talukdar, head teacher; Ramesh Chandra Kalita, president of the school governing body and other well-known personalities were also present at the programme.
