GUWAHATI, Nov 2 � Riding on S Anirudha�s 87 not out, R Satrish�s 74 not out and Badrinath�s 84 Tamil Nadu stand firm with a 116 run lead against Assam on day two of the Elite Group Ranji Trophy match at Chennai today.
Resuming at the overnight score of 21 for no loss, the Tamil Nadu batsmen had no problems in tackling Assam�s bowling attack.
In spite of losing opener A Mukund early in the innings, the other Tamil Nadu batsmen made sure that their team is in a comfortable position. Badrinath played a fine quick-fire knock of 83 runs before falling prey to Tarjinder Singh. Arun Karthik (15) and KD Karthik (4) were the other two Tamil Nadu batsmen to get out today.
For Assam, Arlen Konwar took 2 wickets for 91 and RL Mali and Tarjinder Singh took one wicket each.
