GUWAHATI, Feb 25 � Titabor entered the pre-quarterfinal stage of the Khirod Baruah Senior Inter District Football Championship.
In a second round match of the meet at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai here today, Titabor earned a convincing 3-1 victory against Mangaldai. Chiranjib Gogoi opened the account for the winning team in the 21st minute and after one more minute, Bistu Khaklari made it 2-0.
After the break, Bibhunandan Deka reduced the margin in the 63rd minute. But the comeback effort of Mangaldai players ended in despair when Jacob Basumatary struck again in the 72nd minute.
Today�s match was conducted by Biswajit Deka and his assistants were Ghitesh Dhar and Hiren Gogoi. Khargeswar Das was the fourth official.
