SILCHAR, May 3 - A three day seminar on Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) got underway at the Sanjay Karate School here today. Palash Hazarika, secretary of Assam Mixed Martial Arts Association said that as many as 26 participants are taking part in the seminar which includes various events like wrestling, judo, taekwondo, boxing, kick boxing, Brazilian jiu jitsu among others.
Chief commissioner of North East MMA, Samuel Lalzorama informed that players selected from the seminar will represent Assam in the North East MMA. �The selections will be held on May 5,� Lalzorama said. His Assam counterpart Biswajit Sarkar said, �A tough task is ahead of the association which is only four months old. The district based competitive events of MMA will be held later this year.�
