Thousands of students take part in RG Baruah art competition across State

GUWAHATI, Oct 14 - More than 600 students took part in the Singhapurush Radha Govinda Baruah Memorial State Level Art Competition held at the centre located on the premises of the Tribune Buildings here today. Across the State, thousands of students took part in the competition held at 37 venues in 25 places. It was organised by the Assam Tribune Sports Club.

On the Tribune Buildings premises, the competition was inaugurated by eminent artist Benu Misra. In his speech, Misra congratulated the Assam Tribune Sports Club for organising such a huge art competition.

Attending the programme as a special guest, journalist Monoj Kumar Goswami said, �The Tribune Group is playing a great role not only in the field of journalism but also in our social life.� Artist Munindra Narayan Bhattacharya also attended the programme as a guest of honour.
