DIMAPUR, Aug 25 - A massive public rally under the banner of �All Nagaland Public Rally� was held at the Super Market here today evening against rampant corruption in the State.
The rally saw participation of thousands of people from across Nagaland demanding eradication of corruption from the State.
While viewing the Naga national movement as one of the main factors for corruption in the State, the speakers appealed to the participants to wake up and fight the menace at all levels.
The rally, which began at 3.30 pm, continued for several hours. A slew of resolutions were taken to root out corruption from the State. The rally was organised by anti-graft group Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) Nagaland under the theme of �War against corruption: The battle to reclaim the land�.
ACAUT felt despite its raising issues of corruption in various Government departments for the last three years, there was no positive step taken by the Government for which it decided to go back to the people seeking their support for an intensified movement.
