Third list of BPF candidates announced

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 24 � The third list of BPF candidates for seven BTC constituencies was declared by Hagrama Mohilary, president of BPF at the party office here today. Candidates for remaining 11 constituencies to be declared on February 28 will be the 4th list.

BPF supremo announced the names of the party candidates for the seven Council seats at a Policy Making Body (PMB) meeting at the BPF office here.

Senior BPF leader Baktar Ali Ahmed has been named as the BPF candidate for the Fakiragram seat and for the Srirampur seat, Lakhi Ram Tudu, the former EM of BTC has been named as the party candidate.

The other five candidates are Jagadish Sarkar for Mudaibari, Pratya Barman for Thuribari, Prabhat Basumatary for Subaijhar, Tridip Daimari for Harisingha and Bhubaneswar Goyari for Salbari seats.

Hagrama Mohilary said that peace and development are the main poll plank of the BPF party.

It may be mentioned here that thousands of BPF supporters are regularly rushing to the BPF head office here for party tickets for respective constituencies and several rounds of meetings have been held in the last few days. Significantly, BPF has not yet declared the name of Mano Kumar Brahma (Jaila), the existing Executive Member and two time winner from Banargaon seat.
