MORIGAON, Jan 1 � Tezpur and Nagaon sailed into the last-eight stage of the Khirod Baruah Trophy Senior Inter District Football Championship defeating Karbi Anglong and Silchar respectively today.
At Khirod Baruah Stadium here, Tezpur handed a 6-0 drubbing to Karbi Anglong. The highlight of the match was a hattrick by Satbinder Singh who fired three salvos in the 1st, 60th and 80th minutes of the match. Bindeswar Das (32nd and 73rd minute) and Tang Ao (30th minute) were the other goal getters.
At Dolbari in another pre-quarterfinal match, Nagaon trounced Silchar 4-0.
