AZARA, Dec 19 - The game of teer is continuing unabated at Azara area since a couple of months causing serious concern among the conscious people of the area. The younger generation of the area has been attracted immensely by the game. It has been observed that the teer game has been continuing at Azara, Dharapur, Garal, Kahikuchi, VIP Chowk, Mazirgaon and some other parts under Azara Police Station and Borjhar outpost. Surprisingly, some ticket vendors have put up stalls in front of Azara Police Station and Borjhar outpost also. People in the locality have alleged that the teer organisers have a nexus with the local police. They are paying a handsome amount of money to the police on a monthly basis, they alleged.
Reliable sources said that some teer organisers of Mirza and Bijoynagar area have engaged some local youths to sell tickets in those areas. These youths are selling tickets in those areas on a commission basis, the sources said. The ticket sellers keep themselves busy selling tickets from morning to evening.
