SHILLONG, April 22 - The Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) has filed an FIR against a teacher for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl at school in West Khasi Hills, officials said.

�We filed the FIR against the teacher yesterday for harassing the girl,� SCPCR chairperson Meena Kharkongor said.

The matter came to light on March 23 when the girl informed the executive district magistrate about the incident during a routine inspection at the school, DC A Kembhavi said.

A district committee constituted to probe the allegation found the teacher guilty. The accused was then suspended from the school, he said. � PTI
