GUWAHATI, Nov 1 - Both the SUVs used by former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi have been out of service for the last one month and he has been forced to travel in an Ambassador instead.
This was disclosed by Gogoi himself during a press conference today. He said that despite tall claims of having adequate funds, the State government has slashed money allotted to different schemes.
�Even the vehicles used by me have been out of service for a month and not yet repaired. They said there is shortage of money. This is despite the fact that I�m entitled to Z Plus security,� said the former Chief Minister.
He said his office has informed both the State government and the head of the NSG about the issue.
A senior Congress leader later told this newspaper that Gogoi has two Safari SUVs in his convoy but both are out of service due to technical problems. �The former Chief Minister is now travelling in an Ambassador,� the leader said.
