GUWAHATI, Sept 3 - Artist Sonaram Nath and actor Kulada Kumar Bhattacharjee will be honoured with the Tarun Duvarah Memorial Oil India Award 2015.
The announcement was made here on Thursday by Gauhati Artists� Guild. The award instituted in memory of artist Tarun Duvarah who was one of the pioneers of modern art in the state, carries Rs 1.5 lakh each, a citation and other gifts.
Sonaram Nath who has participated in art camps and exhibitions across the country is committed to his passion and his work is inspired by life and its myriad aspects.
Kulada Kumar Bhattacharjee, a well known theatre personality who has acted in many films and is also into writing has been honoured with several awards earlier. The award will be presented on October 6 at a function scheduled at Rabindra Bhawan.
