GUWAHATI, March 13 - Two Assam players � Tanisha Kashyap and Udit Gogoi will represent the country in the Junior Fed Cup (girls) and Junior Davis Cup ( boys) respectively in the Asia/Oceania final qualifying round to be held at Kuching, Malaysia.
The Junior Davis Cup Tournament will be held from April 9 while the Junior Fed Cup Tournament will be held from April 16.
This is for the first time that Assam players will be representing the country in both U-14 and U-16 events of boys and girls categories in the same year. Vishal Uppal will be the coach-cum-captain of the Junior Davis Cup team and Radhika Tulpule Kanitkar will be the coach-cum-captain of the Junior Fed Cup team. Last week Kristi Boro and Udit Gogoi were selected for the girls and boys U-14 Indian teams, informed AATA secretary Ankush Dutta in a release.
